Early in January 2016, Minnesota Swine Reproduction Center received in new state of the art equipment for detailed analysis of boar fertility and diagnostic capabilities for troubleshooting infertility common seen due to disease, season or other factors. The Swine Biotechnology Lab (SBLab@MSRCLLC.com) is officially running and has now tested over 1,200 samples.
The addition of two Microptic SCA® Evolution Systems provide the latest technology for detailed investigation and rapid reporting of results. Ask us for information if you or your clients need assistance in this area. Currently the SBLab is supported on bacteriologic analyses by key diagnostic laboratories (ISU and MN), but soon additional resources will be in place in Northfield (by August 30th, target date).
